Factory-Direct Cable Procurement: 7 Checks Before You Place an Order
How international buyers can compare cable factories, specifications, testing, packaging and delivery.

A low unit price does not protect a power project. The strongest cable offer is technically comparable, traceable and deliverable. Use these seven checks before confirming a supplier.
1. Match the standard to the application
Use IEC 60502-2 for relevant medium-voltage designs, EN 50618 or IEC 62930 for solar PV, and IEC 60331 where circuit integrity is required. State the exact edition and project deviations.
2. Lock the complete cable construction
Confirm conductor, cross-section, insulation, screen, armour, sheath, temperature and fire performance. A model name alone is not a complete purchase specification.
3. Verify evidence, not brochure logos
Request the certificate scope, construction sheet, routine-test plan and inspection documents required by the contract. Align third-party inspection before production.
4. Plan production, drums and delivery
Agree MOQ, production window, drum length, markings, export wooden drums and Incoterms. Factory-direct coordination reduces handoffs between technical approval and shipment.
Confirm commercial comparison, factory communication and after-sales traceability before issuing the purchase order.
